Microcalorimetry uses a set of techniques to directly measure changes in enthalpy and heat capacity that arise when chemical reactions occur. In aqueous solutions, heat flow into or out of the sample almost always occurs in the reaction.
The highly sensitive DSC and microcalorimetry system has a wide operating temperature range from -45 °C to 120 °C; cooling of the calorimeter does not require an external source.
