The K-Alpha system has a high performance micro-focused X-ray monochromator that allows the user to fine tune the area of analysis to measure the point of interest. Its hemispheric analyzer, electron lens and multi-channel detector allow for an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, superb detectability and very fast data acquisition. You can perform conductive and insulating sample analysis (with charge compensation cannon), in-depth composition analysis (with ion cannon), single point analysis and mapping, all fully automated and controlled from the Avantage software.
